RCB have decided to retain 18 of their players and has allocated a purse of only Rs. 18.75 Crore for the upcoming auction. In addition, they have released five players including Australian Pacer Jason Behrendorff, Indian Youngster Aneeshwar Gautam, Left-Arm Medium Bowler Chama Milind, Young Batsman Luvnith Sisodia, and West Indian Sherfane Rutherford. Despite the releases, the team has largely maintained its core players. While some may question their decision not to take bigger risks or completely overhaul their team, the retentions seem understandable given the talent at their disposal. As for Behrendorff, he has already secured a spot with the Mumbai Indians via trade.
