    CTET Level 1 Syllabus Pdf 2024: CTET exam is conducted twice every year by CBSE. Exams are conducted every year in December-January and July-August. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam is conducted for the eligibility of Level-I and Level-II teachers.

    Candidates who clear Level-I are eligible to become teachers for Classes- I to V and those who clear Level-II are eligible to become teachers for Classes-VI to VIII. There has been no change in the CTET 2024 exam pattern and syllabus in the past few years. According to the notification 2024 issued by CBSE, this time’s exam pattern and syllabus are explained in detail below in this post.

    CTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2024

    CTET 2024 January section exam will be held on 21 January. The Central Eligibility Test is conducted twice every year for lakhs of candidates who want to make a career in the teaching field. To score well in the CTET exam, it is essential to prepare with a daily routine and proper strategy. Knowledge of the latest syllabus is the first step to start the preparation. This article explains the complete exam pattern and syllabus of the CTET 2023 exam.

    According to the CTET syllabus 2023-24 has been divided into two papers: Paper 1 for classes 1st to 5th and Paper 2 for classes 6th to 8th. The syllabus is based on the prescribed syllabus of NCERT, but the difficulty level and standard of the questions could be up to the secondary or senior secondary stage, respectively.

    The CTET syllabus 2024 for Paper 1 includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. CTET syllabus 2024 for Paper 2 includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies.

    The CTET exam 2024 will be conducted offline and will consist of 150 objective-type questions with a total of 150 marks for each paper. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes.

    Q. What is the difference between CTET Level 1 and 2?

    Ans- The CTET exam is conducted in two levels- Paper 1 is for candidates interested in teaching classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for candidates interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both the papers consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) wherein each question carries one mark.

    Q. Is B.Ed required for CTET?

    Ans- B.Ed is not compulsory to apply for the CTET exam. However, there is a criterion wherein candidates who have completed graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and a BEd degree can appear for the CTET exam.

    Q. Who is eligible for CTET Level 1?

    Ans- Candidates who are 10+2 passed with a minimum of 45% Marks are eligible to apply for CTET Paper 1.

    Q. What is the passing marks for CTET exam?

    Ans- Out of the total 150 marks, 90 marks are considered qualifying for the General category and 82 are considered qualifying or CTET cut-off for Reserved categories such as SC/ ST/ OBC.
