Independence Day Speech for School Students

15 August for School Students Speech

Good Morning to the Respected Principal Sir, Vice Principal Sir, Honourable Teachers, and my dear friends. Today, I feel honored to have the opportunity to express my feelings and share my thoughts with you on this auspicious occasion of Independence Day. Every year, we celebrate Independence Day on the 15th of August with great enthusiasm to remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and pay tribute to their courage and bravery. This year, we are celebrating the 77th Independence Day.

India gained independence from the British on this day in 1947, making Independence Day a historical celebration. Finally, India reclaimed its identity after losing its existence. The Britishers came to India under the guise of trade and gradually subjugated everything and turned us into slaves and ruled for about two hundred years after carefully knowing and examining the surroundings and keeping our weaknesses in mind. After many heroic battles won by our warriors, we, at last, achieved freedom on August 15th, 1947. Only because of the brave soldiers who defended our nation, we are free today, and we should honor them on this special day.

Since that time, we have observed August 15 as Independence Day every year. Our honorable Prime Minister raises the flag at the Red Fort every year. After that, he addresses the nation and then some colorful, joyful programs are presented which fill every heart with the feeling of nationalism and patriotism. People from all over the world travel to Delhi to witness these beautiful moments. Our little kids from all over India take part in these cultural programs and prepare hard for a joyous and delighted performance. Some people enjoy these cultural colorful programs in a live broadcast. With all these means, we celebrate the day with great zeal and honor our courageous soldiers who simply gave up their lives for the freedom of this nation. With This, I conclude my words and wish you all a very happy Independence Day. Jai Hind, Bharat Mata Ki Jai!

Swatantrta Diwas Speech, Independence Day Speech

Good Morning to all the teachers and my dear friends. As you know, the day of 15th August 1947 was a very important date in the history of India. On this day we were freed from British rule and became an independent nation. The Britishers freed our nation from the shackles of slavery.

However, we have not achieved this freedom easily. The struggle for freedom was not simple. It was not simple to even imagine India becoming an independent nation, but the unceasing effort and sacrifice of some of our nation’s greatest citizens made it possible. The courageous warriors of our country have paid the price for this freedom by giving their lives.

The freedom of India was made possible by the invaluable contributions of many Indian heroes. Numerous freedom fighters, including Mahatma Gandhiji, Pandit Nehru, Subhash, Tilak, Pandey, and Patel, gave their lives to the cause of national liberation. Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, and other revolutionaries gave their lives to spread the flames of change throughout the nation. The Indian people, under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, began a nonviolent campaign against British rule. After decades of struggle that included protests and civil disobedience throughout India. And eventually, Britishers need to leave our country.

All the freedom fighters had only one dream of an independent India, and they made it come true. After all, they did it on the strength of unity and self-confidence and it is because of their relentless struggle and sacrifice that we have come out of the shackles of the British into an open sky.

Today, 15th August is celebrated as the national festival of our country. Since Pandit Nehru unfurled the flag on the ramparts of Delhi’s Lale on August 15, 1947, the nation’s prime minister raises the flag on this day every year at the Red Fort in Delhi. On this day, the national anthem is sung in public buildings. All the martyrs are honored with tributes. The current Prime Minister of our country delivers a message to the nation. This day is celebrated with great zeal in all schools and colleges.

Also as citizens of independent India, we must safeguard the freedom that we have gained. With this, I’ll end my remarks and wish you all a happy Independence Day. Jai Hind!

    Independence Day Speech

A very Good Morning to all the Indians present here. Being able to address you all on this, our 77th Independence Day is an honor. As we all know, it was on this fateful day in 1947 that we gained independence, thanks to the freedom fighters and political visionaries of the time. They bravely fought against British invaders to realize their dream of a free and united India.

Their dream was finally realized on August 15, 1947, but the nation had to pay a high price for it. Along with the happiness of independence came the pain of division. The formation of the Dominion of Pakistan on August 14, 1947, and the resulting conflict between communities ruined the celebration of independence. When half of India celebrated its independence, the other half was on fire due to racial unrest. While battling for independence, our freedom fighters and political leaders could not have imagined this.

Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Chandrasekhar Azad, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Bhagat Singh, and others did not give their lives to witness fellow Indians slitting each other’s throats on communal grounds. They imagined an India that was peaceful on all levels—communal, religious, and cultural.

History cannot be changed, but we can always alter the present and create new history. Although India’s Independence Day was undoubtedly one of the most important days in its history. We must also honor the people who gave their lives so that we could enjoy this day. Additionally, we must keep in mind that any type of demographic division based on race, religion, or creed will only impede our progress. So, to reach our full potential as a nation, we must work together with unity and equality.

Let’s conclude by pledging to uphold the nation’s equality and sovereignty while remembering those who gave their lives to secure our independence. Jai Hind!

    Independence Day Speech

Respected principal, teachers, judges, and dear friends, today we gather here to commemorate the 77th Independence Day of our India – Bharat – Hindustan. This momentous occasion has filled us with pride and gratitude for the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, who fought bravely for our freedom.

The 77th anniversary of our country’s independence from British colonial rule falls on August 15, 2023. Our country was ruled by the British for 200 years. They had come to India for trade and commerce, but they looted the nation’s wealth and exploited its citizens instead. Our ancestors fought for centuries before India gained independence on August 15, 1947.

Indian Independence Day is more than just a happy day. Our valiant and selfless freedom fighters fought for our freedom year after year, generation after generation. So, today is also a day to honor those who gave their lives so that India could one day be an independent nation. We must promise to remain devoted, committed, and devoted to Mother India today. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!

    Bottom Line

Let us all pledge today to make India the most advanced and progressive nation in the world. It is up to all of us to ensure India’s continued peace and prosperity. We should pledge our loyalty to the nation on this Independence Day because only then will we be able to continue along the path toward progress that has been laid out for us. We hope you enjoyed this article and wish everyone a Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind!
